The Decepticons of postwar Cybertron seem to be more or less represented by criminals and other Cybertronian lowlifes rather than former warriors of the original faction. Several Decepticons were also imprisoned aboard the Alchemor and escaped after Megatronus caused it to crashland on Earth. Starscream attempted to rebuild the Decepticon cause though he was quickly stopped when confronted by the three Predacons.ĭespite their breakup by the reformed Megatron, some Decepticons chose to continue the villainous cause, notably Steeljaw, who sought to reunite the Decepticons. Right after the final defeat of a resurfaced Unicron, Megatron disbanded the Decepticons' cause and exiled himself, retreating to parts unknown. Like their enemies, the Decepticons took to the stars continuing their war across the galaxy.Īfter Bumblebee killed Megatron, the Decepticons were left in complete disarray. This led them to them using Dark Energon, causing the Core of Cybertron to shut down. During the war, their noble ideals quickly became corrupted, and they became almost completely amoral, willing to seize power by any means available. When Megatron was ultimately denied the Matrix of Leadership and rank of Prime, he ordered his followers to fight and take over Cybertron by force. They held goals similar to the Iaconian movement of the Autobots but differed on how to obtain them. The majority of the Decepticons were originally low-ranking members of society, such as miners and gladiators, but some were members of higher castes craving more power, such as Ratbat. The Decepticons were a Kaonian movement started by a miner named Megatron to bring forth a new world order on Cybertron with him as their leader. Megatronus earning the titles of "The Fallen" and the "First Decepticon," something that would live on in Cybertronian history even after the remaining Primes banished him to a different dimension. When she was hit with a blast from her creation and one of the ancient artifacts of the Primes, called the Requiem Blaster, an action that resulted in the creation of the Well of Allsparks from Solus' lifeless body. ![]() Tensions ultimately reached a breaking point during the War of the Primes when Megatronus Prime and his brethren got into a fight that resulted in the death of Megatronus' lover and fellow Prime Solus Prime. When the original Thirteen Primes helped their creator Primus defeat his evil twin brother and rival Unicron, conflicts fueled by discord slowly spread among their ranks as time went on after the Chaos-Bringer's defeat. 3.6 Cybercomrade Sect/Free Will Faction.Occasionally both would put aside their differences for mutual threats only to resume fighting later. In the Great War and long after, they were opposed by the Autobots. They took the title as something honorable instead in their minds and Megatron's words, "if speaking the truth deception, then gladly guilty." The name "Decepticon" came from prewar propaganda by the Autobot High Council, labeling them liars and thieves. In an attempt to bolster the Decepticons' strength, the evil planet gobbling world, Unicron, reformed Megatron into a new robot named Galvatron to lead the Decepticons in a new era. ![]() But, by the year 2000, the Decepticons had proven to be the losers of the last Great War. They attacked throughout the Earth and in space, using their underwater Decepticon headquarters as their staging base and bunker.
